CMHA 2020/21 Season
2021-01-17CMHA 2020/21 Season - Update 17 January 2021
Dear Hockey Families,
Due to the continued measures implemented by the Alberta government, all CMHA hockey activities will remain cancelled; this includes all practices, games and any other activity associated with your team. We encourage virtual team activities at this time.
CMHA is considering various options based on the results of the feedback from the Mid-Season Survey. We do not have a finalized plan at this time, but we are doing what we can to provide our members some form of a playing experience in 2021. Our intention is to fully return to play once the regulations allow us. We know time is ticking for the current hockey season; we are working with Hockey Alberta, CAHL, RHL, SCAHL and CRCA to determine a date when we can no longer proceed.
The CMHA Board is actively reviewing the current financial status of the association and will be implementing fee adjustments for the loss of time played to families at the end of the season (from the time the season has been suspended). Should regulations allow for a return to play in January/February, we will still complete the fee adjustments to provide to families for the duration of the shutdown and issue the adjustment as a refund at the end of the season.
We thank you for your commitment to the CMHA hockey program and your patience as we configure the details. CMHA will continue to do everything we can to get the kids back on the ice as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
Albert Snook, President
Chestermere Minor Hockey Association
