CMHA AGM Notice 2023 - June 20, 2023

The CMHA Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 7:00pm. The in-person meeting will be held at the Chestermere Recreation Centre - Main Gym. Additional information for the meeting will be shared seven days prior to the meeting date.
 
The following procedure will take place leading up to the AGM:

• June 1st - Information on the nomination process circulated by information bulletin to advise members of the process and requirements to be considered a candidate.
• June 11th – Deadline for all nominations Information will be submitted to the Executive Board.
• June 13th – Executive will meet and review all nominations.
• June 15th – List of nominees sent to membership with AGM package.

Please submit a nomination electronically using the Nomination Form.

Nominations for the Board of Directors are due June 10th, 2023. Elections happen during the Annual General Meeting (AGM). All nominees will be given the opportunity to speak to support their nomination for a position on the Board of Directors.
 
For the 2023/2024 Season, below are the list of open positions with links to the role descriptions: 

• Open voting positions (2-year term positions): 
  • Vice-President
  • Secretary 
  • Treasurer (Open for a 1-year term)
  • Operations Director (Open for a 1-year term)
  • CAHL League Director - Gurp Tumber will let his name stand. 
  • Hockey Development Director - Dave Millard will let his name stand. 
  • Human Resources & Governance Director (Open for a 1-year term)
• Open non-voting positions (1-year term)
  • Equipment Manager - Deborah Hemsing will let her name stand.
  • Female Hockey Director - Phil Mateshaytis will let his name stand. 
  • Fundraising Manager
  • Ice Manager 
  • Tournament & Events Manager 
  • Marketing & Communications Coordinator 
  • Volunteer Bond Coordinator 
  • Treasurer Assistant 
  • Webmaster 
  • Division Coordinators 
  • Governors (x3)

Note: Nominations will not be taken from the floor at the AGM unless no one was nominated for that position.
